Students from the Colorado State University School of Social Work conducted an interview today with Officer Peters at the Greeley Police Department. Despite being behind on paperwork and midway through his lunch, Officer Peters, a CSU School of Social Work graduate, participated in the discussion about the police department's operations.

During the interview, Officer Peters, who was experiencing low blood sugar, expressed enjoyment in answering questions about his role. After the interview, he elaborated on his transition from social work to policing, noting the significant overlaps between the two fields. He stated, "Social Work and policing…have…have huge overlaps," and indicated his long-standing passion for both areas.

Officer Peters is also a member of the Crisis Negotiations Unit (CNU) at the Greeley Police Department. The police department thanked the students for their visit and for setting up the interview as they prepare to start their careers.
